The ZANTE TOURS travel agency invites you to a blessed two-day pilgrimage trip to Northern Greece, full of spiritual devotion, history and emotion, culminating in the Divine Liturgy on Palm Sunday.
Departure: 06:00 a.m. from Syngrou–Fix Station (opposite Deliolani), with boarding also from Syntagma, Omonia and other points upon agreement.
DAY 1 – SOUROTI & SAINT ANASTASIA FARMAKOLYTRIA
First stop in Lamia for coffee and we continue to Souroti, where the Holy Monastery of Saint John the Theologian and the tomb of Saint Paisios are located.
The Monastery houses:

The tomb of Saint Paisios of Mount Athos
Saint Paisios, who fell asleep on July 12, 1994 and was officially declared a Saint on January 13, 2018, is today one of the most beloved Saints of Orthodoxy.
Then we visit the Holy Patriarchal and Stavropegic Monastery of Saint Anastasia Farmakolytria in Vasilika, a historic monastery founded in the late 9th century. There, Abbot Father Apostolos of Miletus will welcome us and tell us about the history of the Monastery.
The Monastery houses precious holy relics and relics of Saints, including:

Piece of Holy Wood
After the pilgrimage, we will enjoy a fasting meal at the traditional tavern of the Monastery.
Departure for Thessaloniki, check-in at the hotel and free time to walk around the White Tower and the historical center.
DAY 2 – SAINT DEMETRIOS & SAINT EPHRAIM OF SYROS
After breakfast, we head to the Church of Saint Demetrius, Patron Saint of Thessaloniki, for a pilgrimage and to attend the Divine Liturgy of Palm Sunday.
Free time in the city for shopping and traditional sweets (Panorama triangles, tsourekia and more).
Then we visit the Holy Monastery of St. Ephraim the Syrian in Kontariotissa, Pieria, a unique pilgrimage dedicated to the “Saint of Tears”. The Monastery, with a panoramic view of Mount Olympus and Pieria, is a place of special spiritual peace. We will be welcomed by Abbess Ekaterini, followed by a speech and a treat at the mansion.
Lunch in the village of Kontariotissa and return to Athens late in the afternoon, full of spiritual joy and exultation.
